Motorcycle Links

These are links to a few of my favourite motorcycle-related sites

Quick Quacks A motorcycle club for doctors, dentists, medical students, and other health personnel, their families and friends.
Ixion Ixion is an internet version of bikers chatting down the pub, but with the difference that there are a lot of real meetings as well as virtual ones. Local get-togethers, early and late season bashes, and of course the fabulous two day track fest at Cadwell Park are among the unmissable Ixi-events.
Advanced Motorcycle Training This is really a really excellent advanced training organisation, and by far the best of the several that I have tried in the past. All instructors are police instructors, with vast amounts of experience. We did a four day course with them, leading to an NVQ Level III in advanced motorcycle riding. I have tried others, including the IAM, but this is simply in a completely different league to all the others.
California Superbike School Again, the original, and best by a long way. If you want to learn to ride smoothly, fast and with confidence, and how to cope with different types of corners, this is the course to go on. It will also teach you how to make the best of the racetrack, but the skills are relevant to road and track. This made a dramatic difference to my track and road riding. It is expensive, but in a different league to all other instruction available.
BikeTec Tamworth No web site, but Chris is an excellent chap, an awesome rider, and keeps all my bikes in top working condition. Phone +44 (0)1827 260811
Silver Machine Wolverhampton A very good motorcycle clothing and accessory shop. Our local Dainese dealer, we've found that the good quality and fit of Dainese clothing is worth the extra money. Other stuff just doesn't fit me because nobody else make things in a small enough size. And not many makes fit knee slider bases to ladies leathers either. A superb dealership, can't help enough. And they do Dainese ski gear too :-)
DK Motorcycles Stoke-on-Trent This is one of the largest parallel importers in the UK, and my R1 came from here. A pretty good service, and very much cheaper than an official bike. Offer a warranty, unlike some parallel dealers.
MPS Pretty good, if you want accessories for bike and rider. They have usually got the orders right, and delivered promptly.
